How do I pay for my classes?
There are several payment options available for you to choose from. These include student loans, VA tuition reimbursement, grants, income share agreements, and scholarships.
What mentoring or tutoring support is available?
Students have the opportunity to be mentored by successful Divergence alumni who have experience in their shoes. Beyond the general classroom, students benefit from small-group study and lab work. Plus, each cohort has a primary point of contact for individual support.
Does it matter if I don’t have IT experience or if I’m at a beginner-level?
Our students come to us with different levels of technical knowledge. Each cohort is diverse in experience and interests. Success is measured in individual growth. We empower you to move forward regardless of what level you are starting at.
How long does it take to complete a program or finish the studies?
Immersive programs are 400 hours. We currently have three options to serve diverse needs: 10 weeks of 8-hr class, 20 weeks of 4-hr class, and 20 weekends of 10-hr class. Programs end, but learning never does. Former students will always be part of our alumni network and our school. The programs connect learning across topics, and it will be necessary to continue studying after the program ends especially in prep for certifications. Alternatively, we also hold weekday classes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT.
Will Divergence Academy find me a job when I complete my studies?
We work closely with our students throughout the job search process. When requested, we assist with the following:
1. Interview coaching
2. Resume preparation
3. Access to job placement network
Are classes remote or in-person?
We understand that some people learn better in a designated learning environment, and some prefer remote classes, so we provide options for both. If you do decide to visit our facilities, you will do so here: 14665 Midway Road Ste 220, Addison, TX 75001.
Can I attend Divergence Academy from overseas?
We are currently unable to accept students from overseas. Our school is primarily tailored to local students, and we do not have the resources or infrastructure to support international student needs at this time. Our success is measured by various regulatory agencies, primarily based on our students’ job outcomes. This is why it's essential for us to focus on students we can support in their job-seeking endeavors locally. Divergence Academy does not provide visa assistance or support. We also cannot predict or guarantee how local companies might feel about sponsoring a visa for job opportunities.
