Welcome to Divergence Academy, your home and workplace on the bridge to new opportunities. Engage in in-person learning, team building, and networking activities while gaining hands-on experience with the latest in emerging technologies.
When transitioning to civilian life or simply transitioning to a new career, it can be easy to feel alone in your journey. The Residential Immersive Experience (RIX) will connect you with people from very different backgrounds, all working toward the same goal of a fulfilling tech career. By choosing the residential program, you’ll forge deeper connections with your peers, instructors, and network for the kind of camaraderie you can only gain through in-person learning.

Our goal is for you to have a well-rounded experience while in Addison. In addition to hands-on and immersive learning, on-campus learning provides learners with the opportunity to form bonds with their peers, expand their network and join in team-building activities.

Explore the Divergence Campus—your portal to living and breathing emerging tech. Say hi to Phanna at the front desk, then make your way through our conference room and Star Wars-themed classrooms. The academy is equipped with all the monitors, headsets, and devices you’ll need to be successful in your modules. After class, rush over to the “study field” where you can work on your capstone and take a stretch break.

The Study Field can accommodate virtually any need. Take a seat and work on your modules, prep your resume, or joke around between class. After hours, the field is often used for Hack the box events, conferences, or even karaoke!

Explore the latest in VR technology and machine learning while getting hands-on practice with programming languages like SQL and Python or tinkering with Arduinos. The Makerspace is your go-to community workshop and lab to get in-person experience with the latest tech while learning alongside your peers.

Need a break? Head to the Kitchen for food and a laugh. The space is equipped with full-size refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Enjoy some self service coffee and get recharge before study time!

Our classrooms have everything you need to be successful. Each monitor is equipped with all the programs, gadgets and gizmos you’ll need to be successful in your course.

Your time at Divergence will be captured in the hall of murals, where Divergence history is recorded.

You won’t have to worry about roommates while you’re in RIX. Divergence has partnered with the Sonesta Suites to give you a warm and comfortable living situation. The Sonesta has got you covered with Studio Suites—equipped with a kitchen, private bathroom, television, and queen bed. Your room also comes with a built-in workspace for that late-night grind.
The Sonesta also has free laundry and a 24-hour gym.
The campus is located at 14665 Midway Rd Suite 220, Addison, TX 75001. Divergence is located on the second floor but is made accessible by an elevator and spacious double-opening doors. Parking is available.

The Divergence experience provides you with the best of both worlds: get the close-knit, community feel of suburban Addison while still experiencing all Dallas has to offer. Dallas has become a major tech hub, with more and more companies moving into the vibrant city. Get to know these organizations at our Lunch & Learns and various networking events. Practice your best handshake and get comfortable in a formal business setting so you can be ready for your interviews. There’s truly no better place to live, learn and breathe tech!
But don’t worry, it’s not all work and no play—we’ve got plenty of fun in-store for you when you get here! Participate in Hack the Box and Capture the Flag events, local museums, and experience America’s roots with some classic BBQ and a rodeo!
